If you rent one of our Stockholm homes we want you to ‘feel like a local’, but if you rent this home –‘feel like Richard Attenborough’!! While having your breakfast at the dining table you might see whales and dolphins playing in the fiord. The wildlife is fantastic. Eagles, falcons, puffins etc are close by and very often there are elks just outside the house. Fancy some fish? Well, go down to the water and ‘fetch’ a cod, a turbot or a saithe. Here you can experience the famous midnight sun in the summer and aurora borealis in wintertime. The natural scenery surrounding this home is absolutely world class. Like something directly from the National Geographic Magazine. It easily compares with safari in Kenya, diving in the Maldives or hiking in the Andes. It’s an amazing place.
The two houses are built in a ‘Scandinavian modern’ tradition. They are minimalistic but stylish, functional and comfortable. But you have to understand: this is NOT a resort. Nor is it a tourist village. This is a small, fantastic and unique villa with an even smaller house for sleeping, built directly into the dramatic nature. It’s for someone who loves nature and tranquillity. There is no road leading all the way to the house, so you have to carry your stuff the last 75 meters. Nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away. You don’t need to be adventurous to rent this home and we can arrange a lot for you before your arrival. But still … it’s not for everyone. It helps if you understand that this is north of the polar circle. The weather can change very quickly. In the summer it can be a sunny day, +25 degrees Celsius and 30 minutes later stormy, rainy and cold.
This is ‘The Place’ to rent if you want a memory for life. But we must warn you. Your first stay will make you long for your return!
